A fortunate group of Travel Associates advisors recently had the opportunity to embark on a brief journey to South Australia, gaining valuable insights into the rich and diverse offerings of this beautiful state.

We must express our amazement – from beginning to end, each of our senses was indulged. We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to share all the fantastic recommendations with you.

Adelaide

Gaja By Sashi, Adelaide

Adelaide Central Market stands as a beloved destination among locals, boasting over 70 traders under one roof and ranking as one of the largest undercover fresh produce markets in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s a vibrant hub teeming with life and color throughout the year. Navigating this bustling market is a delight, and we strongly recommend arriving on an empty stomach, as the temptation to sample every cheese, pastry, and sweet in sight is irresistible.

When it comes to dining out, you’ll find yourself wishing you had more time to savor every delectable dish from the plethora of mouth-watering restaurants in the city. The list of world-class options is extensive, ranging from the Japanese sensation at Shōbōsho on Leigh Street to the authentic Napoli-style pizza with a retro ambiance at Sunny’s, and the Singaporean twist offered at Gaja By Sashi, the recently opened establishment by MasterChef Australia 2019 winner Sashi Cheliah. Covering every delightful spot would require another blog, or perhaps ten.

To witness Adelaide in its full glory, consider timing your trip with the Adelaide Fringe Festival or a major sporting event at Adelaide Oval. During these events, the city comes alive with laughter and light, leaving a lasting impression that might even have you daydreaming about relocating – and we’re not kidding; it happened to us after our recent visit.

Indulge in the exquisite cool-climate wines of Ashton Hills, Deviation Road, CRFT, Barristers Block, Art Wine, Petaluma, Shaw & Smith, or Bird in Hand.
